Team managers' meeting
A virtual team managers' meeting will be held, with the exact time announced after the registration ends. An email with the meeting details and link will be sent to each team’s registered email address.mailIf a team manager has not received the meeting link, please contact: the event organizers.
The meeting will cover important topics such as venue arrangements, transportation, competition rules, and the match schedule. Your attendance is essential, so please make sure to join. Thank you.

Rules
*The Formosa 7s International Championship will be played in accordance with applicable sections of the FIFA rules.

1. Player Registration

  1. All players must meet the age category in order to be eligible to play.
  2. Players can play for 2 teams but in different age category.
  3. Registered players must be within the limits for each age division. Age cut offs for each age category are as follows:
    U8’s: Players born on or after January 1, 2017
    U9's: Players born on or after January 1, 2016
    U10's: Players born on or after January 1, 2015
    U11’s: Players born on or after January 1, 2014
    U12’s: Players born on or after January 1, 2013
    U13’s: Players born on or after January 1, 2012
    U14’s: Players born on or after 1 January 2011
    U15’s: Players born on or after 1 January 2010
    Pro U16’s: Players born on or after September 1, 2008

*Girls can play one(1) age group younger than her real age.

2. Players Equipment

  1. Goalkeepers should be clearly marked with a different color uniform or bib to the rest of the team.
  2. All players must wear shin pads during matches and must be completely covered by socks. Any player not wearing shin pads will be asked by the match referee to leave the field of play.
  3. Tournament wristbands must remain on the player during the duration of the tournament.

3. Coach/Player/Parent Behavior

  1. Any behavior such as intimidation or screaming to pressure an opponent player in any on-field situation is not allowed and shall be deemed as unfair. This behavior will result in a free kick to the opposing team.
  2. Persistent offenders will be given a Yellow Card. If the referee notices any tampering or alteration to a player’s wristband, the player will be disqualified.
  3. All participants including players, coaches, parents and supporters are reminded that respect should be shown at all times towards match officials, event rules and all players and staff.
  4. Whilst encouragement and support are more than welcome, tournament organizers will not tolerate shouting or verbal abuse of any kind directed towards any player or match official from parents. Anyone found guilty of verbal abuse or poor practice inside the event may be asked to leave the pitch or even the premises.

4. Team Composition and Registration

  1. Each team is allowed to register up to a maximum of eighteen (18) players, except Pro B16 group is allowed up to maximum of twenty-three (23) players. Team is expected to submit filled registration form.
  2. Each player MUST bring along the original valid passport or identification card on day 1 of the tournament when the team check in (one hour before their first match) for verification purposes.
  3. U8 to U15 age groups will follow a 7-aside format, with each team fielding 7 players on the pitch, including one goalkeeper. The Pro U16 age group will follow an 11-aside format, with each team fielding 11 players on the pitch, including one goalkeeper.
  4. Games cannot be played with fewer than 5 players in 7 aside respectively and cannot be played with fewer than 7 players in 11 aside respectively.
  5. All team members must wear the same team kit and are required to have numbers on their jersey that relates to their team/player registration.

5. Team Manager/Coach

  1. Each team apart from the coach MUST have a Team Manager who should be registered as well as the coach.
  2. Team managers/coaches must sign a waiver document releasing Power Wind of all liabilities associated with the tournament prior to the tournament.

6. Format

  1. Group Stage: All teams will first compete in the group stage, with rankings determining advancement to either the Cup or Plate play offs. Rankings are based on the following point system: Win: 3 points, Draw: 1 point, Loss: 0 points.
    If two (or above) teams have the same points, their ranking will be determined in the following order: 1. Head-to-head result between the teams.
    2. Goal difference (total goals scored minus total goals conceded).
    3. Total goals scored in all matches.
    4. Total goals conceded (lower is better).
    5. Red card count (fewer red cards rank higher).
    6. If still tied, a coin toss will determine the ranking.
    則根據兩隊間的直接對戰結果先確定排名,  再則依淨勝球數決定排名。若淨勝球也相同,則比較總進球數。如進球數仍相同,則比較失球數,若再相同則比較紅牌數。若所有條件均無法分出高下,將擲幣決定名次。
  2. Play Offs: This is a knock-out phase. The top four placed teams in each group will proceed to the Cup Knock Out Competition whiles the remaining teams will compete for the Plate Knock Out Competition.
  • A draw in the knockout phase will be followed immediately by a penalty shootout. Best of 3 penalties followed by sudden death will determine the winner of the fixture. Only active players on the field when regulation time is reached are eligible to participate in the penalty shoot-out. All team members on the roster must kick (unless injured - ref determines) before a player takes a second shot.

7. Trophy/Plate and Medals

  1. Trophies/Plate will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Cup and 1st in Plate.
  2. Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in the Cup and Plate

8. Forfeit

  1. A forfeit will be required of a team using unregistered player or teams who plays overage players.
  2. A forfeit will be awarded if an opposing team is not ready to play within 5 minutes of a scheduled start time. A forfeit will go down as a 3-0 win for the team that is there and ready to play. If both teams do not show, or are not ready to play – neither team will be awarded points

9. The Game
Tournament Rules will be FIFA standard international rules with the following exceptions:

  1. Field Dimensions : U8 ~ U10 approx. 30m X 45m 、U11 ~ U15 approx. 40m X 65m
  2. Goal Size: :U8 ~ U10 3m X 2m X 1.5m、U11 ~ U15 6 X 2 m X 1.5m
  3. Ball Size: The following are the ball sizes to be used
    U8, U9, U10, U11, U12: Size 4
    U13, U14, U15, U16-U18: Size 5
  4. Game Duration:
    U8~U15’s ,30 mins match time,15mins each half - with 5 mins half time break.

    Pro U16,60mins match time,30mins each half - with 10 mins half time break.
  5. Fouls and Offside Rule: All fouls apply except for the offside rule in the following categories.
    The offside rule will NOT be imposed to U8-U10 category in this tournament.
    U11 to U15 age groups, an offside line will be marked 15 to 20 meters from the goal line. The offside rule will be enforced beyond this line (excluding the line itself).
    Pro U16 category, the standard offside rule will be applied.
  6. Substitutions
    1. Unlimited substitutions are allowed (Rolling Substitution).
    2. All substitutions must be signaled to and agreed by the match referee.
    3. All substitutions should be done near team’s bench unless approved by match referee.
    4. Players can re-enter match after substitution.
    5. In the Pro U16 category, unlimited substitutions are allowed. However, after the 50 minutes, teams will be limited to a maximum of two substitution opportunities for the remainder of the match.
  7. Red and Yellow Cards
    1. Start from U13, a player who receives 3 yellow cards will have a 1 match suspension.
    2. Player yellow card accumulation will not carry over in Play-Off matches.
    3. A player receiving a straight red card will be sidelined for the remainder of the match and may not be replaced.
    4. A player who receives 1 straight red card will serve a 1 match suspension.
  8. Throw Ins: If the ball leaves the field of play over a touch line, a standard throw-in will be used to resume play for U8 through to U16 age categories.
  9. Appeals: Any team that wishes to appeal a decision must do so immediately. The tournament committee plus the Head of Referees will meet within one hour to make a decision. All decisions issued by this group will be final.

10. Emergency medical services:There will be doctors and nurses in the medicinal tent on site.
